A morfogênese natural é o processo que desencadeia a formação de uma ampla variedade de órgãos funcionais em sistemas biológicos. Nas plantas, é impulsionado principalmente pelo crescimento diferencial, um fenômeno presente em todos os níveis de organização material vegetal: celular, órgão e organismo. Em cada um deles, o crescimento diferencial corresponde a uma taxa de crescimento que pode ser diferente da taxa de crescimento em outras regiões. No nível celular, o crescimento diferencial é identificado nos diferentes padrões de divisão e expansão celular.
Este projeto experimental teve como objetivo preencher a superfície de um objeto com um padrão geométrico definido pela lógica do crescimento diferencial no nível celular.

Natural morphogenesis is the process that triggers the formation of a wide variety of functional organs in biological systems. In plants, it is mainly driven by differential growth, a phenomenon present at all levels of material organization: cellular, organ and organism level. At each of them, differential growth corresponds to a regional growth rate that may be different from the growth rate at other regions. At the cellular level, differential growth is identified in the different patterns of cell division and expansion.
This experimental project aimed to fill the surface of an object with a geometric pattern defined by the logics of differential growth at the cellular level.
